Code of Ethics

The aim of SEFIRA spol. s r.o., its employees and responsible persons is to operate at a high moral level. The basis for this goal is our Code of Ethics, which is based on the values of our company and explains what behaviour we support and expect from our partners.

General principles

We adhere to ethical principles and legal standards in our business and treat our partners with respect.

  • We are guided by internal management documentation based on applicable and effective legislation, relevant European Union and United Nations standards, as well as our Code of Ethics.
  • We respect the ethical rules and internal documentation of other companies (if publicly available, unless they are in conflict with the law and our company's code of ethics), and we expect the same behaviour from our business partners and customers.
  • We do not encourage or tolerate fraud, corruption, anti-competitive behaviour, discrimination or harassment in any form.
  • We prevent and avoid potential conflicts of interest between private activities and the position held.
  • We provide timely, reliable and accurate information to owners, public authorities and the public.
  • In our business activities, we respect competition and competition law with the conviction that only fair competition and a transparent market can freely develop society as a whole.
  • We do not accept or provide any special benefits of any kind.

Customers

We always deal transparently and honestly with all our customers.

  • We provide our services in a qualified, professional manner. We look for solutions that meet the needs of our customers to the greatest extent possible.
  • In accordance with the best available knowledge, we provide clear, unbiased, complete, up-to-date and non-misleading information.

Staff

We create a positive working environment for our employees where they can develop their potential and grow professionally. We do not accept any form of discrimination and harassment.

  • We strive for a strong and solid relationship with our employees based on mutual respect and trust. We promote fair treatment of all employees.
  • We require all employees, regardless of their job title, to behave in accordance with our ethical standards and values.
  • We respect the relevant European Union standards in the area of employee relations. We respect the conventions of the International Labour Organisation and the United Nations.
  • We do not tolerate discrimination, direct or indirect, harassment in any form, child labour or forced labour.
  • We respect freedom of association and privacy.
  • We offer employees relevant professional and personal development opportunities and motivate them to take advantage of these offers that enhance their skills and abilities.
  • We support employees who contribute to the continued success of our company with their expertise and skills.
  • We respect each other and provide timely, reliable and accurate information.
  • We do not use the information obtained for personal gain or for any activity that would be contrary to the law of the Czech Republic or the rules and values of our company.
  • Any civic or political involvement by employees must not damage the reputation of our company. Employees must refrain from any conflict of interest or activities that conflict with their work activities for our company.

Owners

Our company acts in the interest in which it was founded by its owner.

  • It regularly informs its owner about its strategy, current financial situation and results.
  • We conscientiously apply the principles of honesty, accountability and transparency in our management.

Suppliers

We always treat our suppliers with respect and honesty. We require them to adhere to our ethical standards and rules.

  • We deal with suppliers on the basis of mutual respect and honesty.
  • In addition to meeting contractual obligations, we expect our business partners to comply with all legal and ethical rules, including environmental protection and anti-corruption.
  • We only do business with partners who have a good reputation and who engage in lawful activities in their business and whose funds come from legitimate sources.
  • We follow the rules of international trade.

Public administration, other institutions and media

We are apolitical in our business and treat government authorities with respect and mutual respect. Information provided to the public must always be objective and truthful.

  • We keep all our official documents in accordance with the relevant legislation.
  • We cooperate fully with state authorities and public administration institutions.
  • We base relationships on the principle of fairness, transparency and respect for the roles of both parties.
  • We provide the public with up-to-date, complete and correct communications through authorised persons.
  • We use advertising, the content of which must always be truthful, in accordance with the basic ethical values of civil society.
  • We use social networks exclusively to support our business and business model.
  • We protect internal information and prevent it from being leaked or misused to gain undue advantage.

Corporate hospitality and donations, charitable donations, sponsorship

We may not solicit, accept or offer corporate hospitality or gifts that may influence our business decisions or the business decisions of those with whom we do business.

  • Corporate hospitality and gifts given or received must be appropriate and in accordance with local laws and customs and must not place the recipient in a position of being obligated to the donor in any way
  • We do not make donations to political parties and movements, nor to organizations, foundations, associations, nor to legal or natural persons who are in close relationship with politically exposed persons.
  • We never undertake these activities to gain an undue advantage.
  • We do not make any donations to industry associations or organisations promoting industry interests.
  • We do not make financial contributions to organisations or individuals where there is a risk of conflict of interest.

Compliance

Our company, its employees and responsible persons are committed to adhere to all ethical principles set out in this Code of Ethics in their activities and work.

  • This Code of Ethics has been approved by the Director of SEFIRA spol. s r.o. as binding for employees and members of the statutory bodies of the company.
  • Responsibility for the implementation of the Code of Conduct rests with the company's statutory body, which must ensure that all employees and responsible persons are familiar with the Code.
  • Our company refuses to tolerate any violation of the Code of Ethics. Employees and responsible persons are aware that their decisions and actions may expose themselves and our company to criminal or civil penalties and must therefore act in a manner that does not commit criminal acts or violate laws and internal regulations.
  • Those of us who demonstrably violate applicable and effective legislation, internal regulations or the Code of Conduct will face not only legal sanctions (e.g. breach of employment obligations under the Labour Code) but also disciplinary sanctions.

Receiving submissions, expressing concerns

By sharing legitimate concerns and complaints, we protect not only our company, but also our colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.

  • We communicate our comments as soon as possible in a confidential communication that can remain anonymous (with the possibility of making it more difficult to obtain redress), without any fear of subsequent sanctions.
  • Suggestions and objections can be made to your supervisor or other company executive or addressed to the HR manager via email at jobs@sefira.cz.

Efficiency

This Code of Conduct shall enter into force on 1 January 2019.
